Terms of Service

Last Updated: January 28, 2026

Welcome to VJM Vallejo Masonry. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

VJM Vallejo Masonry provides professional masonry services including but not limited to brick repair, chimney rebuilding, tuckpointing, retaining wall installation, patio construction, stone veneer installation, and related masonry work. All services are subject to availability and scheduling.

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel projects if we determine that the work cannot be completed safely, legally, or to our quality standards.

2. Estimates and Pricing

We provide free on-site consultations and written estimates for all projects. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change if project scope, materials, or site conditions differ from the initial assessment.

Final pricing will be confirmed in a written contract before work begins. Any changes to the project scope during construction will be documented and approved in writing before additional charges are applied.

3. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in your contract. Typical payment schedules include a deposit at contract signing, progress payments during construction, and final payment upon completion. We accept checks, cash, and major credit cards.

Invoices are due within the time frame specified in your contract. Late payments may incur additional fees. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to place a lien on the property in accordance with California law.

4. Permits and Inspections

We will obtain all necessary building permits and coordinate required inspections with local authorities. Permit costs are included in your estimate unless otherwise noted. The property owner is responsible for providing access to the property and ensuring compliance with any homeowner association requirements.

5. Warranties

We provide warranties on our workmanship as specified in your contract. Warranty terms vary depending on the type of work performed and materials used. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed through to the customer.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by improper maintenance, natural disasters, soil movement, or modifications made by others. To maintain warranty coverage, you must follow any care instructions provided at project completion.

6. Project Timeline

We provide estimated completion dates based on typical weather and site conditions. Actual timelines may vary due to weather delays, permit processing, material delivery, or unforeseen site conditions. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize disruptions.

7. Site Access and Conditions

The customer must provide clear access to the work area and ensure that utilities are properly marked before work begins. We are not responsible for damage to underground utilities that are not properly located and marked.

If we encounter unexpected site conditions such as underground obstructions, poor soil, or hidden structural damage, we will notify you immediately and provide options for addressing the issues.

8. Changes and Cancellations

Changes to the project scope must be requested in writing and approved by both parties before implementation. Additional work will be billed according to the pricing structure in your contract.

If you need to cancel a project after the contract is signed, cancellation terms will be specified in your contract. You may be responsible for costs already incurred including materials ordered, permits obtained, and time invested.

9. Liability and Insurance

VJM Vallejo Masonry carries comprehensive general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or issues outside the scope of our contract. Our liability is limited to the cost of the work performed.

10. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, we encourage open communication to resolve the issue. If resolution cannot be reached through direct discussion, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration in Solano County, California, before pursuing legal action.
